“Cyprus Realized” : An ongoing initiative to help establish Cyprus as a legitimate source of technology and innovation ventures.

MISSION

Big ideas and innovation can come from any one of the emerging business centers across the globe complete with incredible talent, imagination, capabilities and entrepreneurial spirit.

We want to take a leadership role in creating growth opportunities for Cypriot companies that previously were unable to benefit from access to U.S.A based business expertise, insights and networking .

We look for companies with unique and scalable value propositions, that can be relevant in the U.S.A specifically in these sectors:

The government of Cyprus identified Technology as an important driver of productivity and economic growth across all sectors of the economy. It has established specific strategies, tactics and incentives to promote innovation and entrepreneurialism . One of the most important tactics is the plan to establish a new large scale Science Technology Park (STP) that will host research & development centers and business incubators. In addition of its own incentives, like The Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation, Cyprus attracts EU research funds for the ICT Industry for funding companies and projects that have their R&D facilities in Cyprus.
Cyprus’ energy policy is harmonized with the European Union goal of promoting the use of energy from renewable sources Cyprus has launched a number of programs with grants and subsidies to provide incentives for investment in the following areas Solar Energy (Cyprus ranks #1 in the world in solar energy use for water heating in households), wind energy and biomass. In addition, the recent discovery of hydrocarbons in the exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) is new and exciting possibilities for Cyprus to become an energy hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Tourism and Hospitality sectors have traditionally been a major source of income and a driver of economic growth with a significant contribution to Cyprus’ GDP. The country has all the prerequisites to further develop these industries and offers great potential for investments in niche areas, such as Health & Wellness, Sports / Lifestyle Tourism & Hospitality. An active government growth strategy includes extending seasonality and type of tourism
